1月8日 My trip in France and Austria昨日まで10日間、フランスとオーストリアに行ってきた。今年の新年はいつもと違う体験をした。今まではほとんど家族で新年を過ごしたけど、今年はパリのシャンゼリゼ通りで新年を迎えた。 人がものすごく多くて、日本人の旅行客もいっぱいいた。2007になった瞬間みんなの歓声と花火の音でものすごく感激した！シャンパンを飲んでる人もいて、あ～フランス人って本当にロマンティックなんだなって思った。帰りは地下鉄がクローズになったりと大変だったけど... そうそうのだめの影響で私はどうしてもパリ音楽院に行きたくて、1日の朝友達とだーれもいないパリ音楽院を訪れた。私が想像したのとまったく違うモダンな建物で、その建物のすぐ隣には劇場と音楽博物館があっていい環境だった。あとはオペラ座の怪人の舞台となったパリオペラ座や凱旋門... とりあえず有名そうな場所に行ってみた(^-^)!フランスはどの建物も規模が大きくて、ルーブル美術館の広さに私はびっくり！！私の大好物のクレープも食べれて本当に幸せだった。 オーストリアはザルツブルクの近くにある小さな町に行って、友達の家に泊まり、その子と一緒にウィーンに行ってきた。ウィーン国立音楽院は町中のいろんな場所に分かれていて、キャンパスの中にある日本の音大とは違う感じで、楽器ごと科目ごとに建物がそれぞれ分かれていて、ウィーンの音大生は授業を受けるのに町を行き来しなきゃいけないから大変だろうなって思った。ウィーンは本当に音楽の町って感じで、Beethoven、 Mozart、Schubert... 偉大な音楽家たちの彫刻や肖像がいろんなとこで見かけることができて、初めての私にとって本当に感動の連続だった！！ウィーンがなぜ音楽家たちの憧れの町なのかがなんとなくわかった気がする。ウィ－ンで勉強してみたくなった(^-^)日本人、中国人の学生や他のアジア人の学生がいっぱいいた。みんなウィーンで一生懸命音楽を勉強してるんだろうな、きっと...! 9月20日 The new termI came back to Manchester last night. I spent 2 months in Japan(2 weeks in China). I was so busy today!!!!! There are so many new students in RNCM. I met some of my friends and my piano teacher. I really have to practice hard for my first lesson next week, but I'm too busy to practice, I've got so many things to do. Tiding up my room, register, shopping etc. But I really need to go to bed now. It's always so busy when a new term starts, especially in September. 9月2日 KARUIZAWA家族３人で軽井沢に行って来ました。軽井沢に行ったのは今回が２回目で６か７年ぶりでした。車で行く途中まで雨が降っていて、着いたころには晴れて、空気がとてもキレイでした。室外温度はなんと１８度！！上着を着てもちょっと寒いぐらいで、大和の暑さとは大違いでした。３人で軽井沢の古い町をぶらぶらして、いろんな可愛くてお洒落なお店があって、私はミルクアイスを食べて大満足！！夕食はおそばとラーメンを食べておなかがいっぱいになったところで泊まるところに戻りました。お父さんの友達の家族は遅く着いたので、すこし話してみんな早めに寝ました。次の日の朝、私とお父さんだけ早起きして、私の車運転の練習をしました。私は免許を取ってもう２年になるのに、運転した回数はわずか２～３回程度。りっぱな"Paper driver"です(笑)！このままゴールド免許取れちゃいそうな勢い（苦笑)！できるだけ安全そ～うな道を走っただけでした。そのあとはお父さんの友達の家族とは別行動にして、私たちは蓼科湖に行きました！小さな湖だったけど、可愛くて雰囲気がなんとなく好きでした。今度もまた夏に軽井沢に行きたいなぁ！！！涼しい風とおいしい空気が最高でした！！ 7月3日 July 1st my 21st birthdayIt was my 21st birthday last Saturday. I had to work in our college from 10am to 5pm for concert ushering. I listened to the Saint-Saens piano concerto No.2 played by the junior RNCM chamber orchestra. My friend played the same concerto with RNCM symphony orchestra this year as well. I remembered that I went to a concert in the Bridgewater hall on the same day last year, it was the Tchaikovsky piano concerto No.1 played by a great Russian pianist in our college. I came back to my flat after my work, cleaned my room and kitchen for my birthday party. My friends came at around 7:30pm. I cooked rice and fried vegetables. My friends brought some food and drinks. We had a great dinner with red wine. I got some really nice birthday cards, presents and texts from my friends. We talked a lot...
I had a great time  I'm 21 years old now 6月17日 Scotland EdinburghI went to Edinburgh last Wednesday with my friend. It took about 4hours to get there by train. We stayed in a cheap youth hostel near the Edinburgh castle. I coudn' sleep well cause the others were so noisy during the night. People played music and talked really loudly next door. We visted the Edinburgh castle the next morning. The castle is visited annually by about one million people. The oldest building in the castle is St.Margaret's chapel which has been standing there for more than 900 years. There were many museums in the castle, we walked around the castle, had lunch in a cafe there, and tried Scottish whisky in a gift shop which was really sweet and easy to drink.We spent about 5 hours there. Then we went to the new town took some pictures and had our dinner in a nice Italian restaurant. At the same time, I charged my digital camera in the restaurant, cause I found a plug just under our table. So we stayed there as long as we could to wait for my camera was charged completely, but we felt a bit bad cause there was a long queue of people outside the restaurant. So we ordered more after we finished our dishes. Then we went back to the old town and went back to the hostel at about 10:30. We visited the National Galarries of Scotland yesterday, had our lunch in Pizza Hut. We went to the portrait Galarry in the afternoon, bought some souvenirs... we were so tired but had a really great time in Edinburgh. We came back to Manchester at about 12:00am. Edinburgh was so different from Manchester, and the Scottish accent was quite interesting. Even money there looked different from England. I'd like to visit Glasgow next time because the Royal Scotish Academy of Music and Drama is there, my friend told me that the college looks quite similar to our college RNCM. 6月14日 End of year examI have done my end of year piano exam today. I had a really really busy year this year from the first term. Today I played Bach Partita No 6 Toccata,
Beethoven sonata Op78, Ligeti Etude No.2 ( The composer died the day before yesterday...) and Rachmaninov Preludes Op 32-5, 10, 12. I think it went quite well except Ligeti, cause I did some really stupid mistakes, but never mind  I really enjoyed the other pieces actually!! Then I had a rehearsal with my cellist cause she's got her exam tomorrow, and I'm gonna accompany her. I went to Pizza Hut with my three friends, we had a lot...after that we went to a cinema near the city centre, but nothing really interesting to watch, so we came back to the halls and watched a DVD instead! I'm going to Scotland with my friend tomorrow, I'm so excited!!!!!!I'll have a rest this week4月20日 SheffieldI went to Sheffield with my friend Cathia today. We bought our train tickets yesterday. I got up at 7:00 am, I was so sleepy 4月10日 YORK I went to York today! The weather was so nice when I got up, so I decided to go to York. I bought a return ticket from Oxford Road station in Manchester, it took about 2 hours to go to York by train. I walked around in the city centre, took many photos. I visited the York Minster, Clifford's Tower and Museum Gardens etc... York was so different from Manchester, there were many historic attractions . I had my lunch in the Museum Garden, the weather was just perfect!! I spent about 4hours in York, and I had a great time today
 今日は一日、一人旅をしてきた。このイースター休みはフランスに行くはずだったのが、理由があって行けなくて、マンチェスターで少し退屈な時間を過ごしていたら(イギリス人やヨーロッパの他の国の友達はみんな家に帰ってしまったし)、無性に旅行したくなって、前からすごく行きたかったYORKに行くことにした。朝目が覚めたら、マンチェスターでは珍しい、雲のない青空が広がっていて、ずっと天気などのせいで実行できなかったYORKへの旅にでた！列車のチケットは少し高めだったけど、予約してなかったので (これも天気のせい、マンチェスターの気候はいつ嵐や大雨になってもおかしくない、だからチケット予約しても台風みたいな天気にあたったら困るし) 仕方ないと思い、迷いもせずにリターンチケットを買った。今週学校のバイトで少しお金もたまったし  列車のなかで気持ちよ～く窓から外の景色を眺めながら、なんだかやっとマンチェスターから外に出られたって感じで、とても爽やかな気分になって... とその時、列車は駅でもない所で停車した。しばらくの間、なんの説明もないまま待たされて、やっと車掌さんが「どこかのアラームが鳴っていたので、原因がわかるまで１５－２０分停車する」と簡単にアナウンスした。またかぁと私は思い、なぜならばイギリスでこういうことが起きるのは日常茶飯事だ。でも今回は幸い３０分以内で列車はまたはしり出した。YORKに着いて、私はほっとした！YORKはマンチェスターと違って、イギリスの伝統と歴史を感じさせる町だった。観光客もとても多く、町中でいろんな言語が聞こえてきた。私は駅で無料のマップを一個もらい、まず最初はYork Minster に行った。そのあとCity Centreをぶらぶらしながら、写真を撮れるだけ撮った。Yorkの町はとてもかわいくて、お土産がいっぱいうってて、なぜか日本の鎌倉を思い出させた。お昼はSUBWAY で買ったサンドイッチを持って、Museum Gardenという所で食べた。その公園は芝生がとてもきれいで、川の辺にあって、鳩がいっぱいいて... 私のなかの「外国」のイメージそのものだった。 そのあと、YORKの代表的なClifford's Tower に行った。今日は時間とお金の節約のために建物の中には入らなかった。今度もしゆっくりできたら、中もちゃんと見てみたいと思った。City Centreはマンチェスター、いやイギリスのどこ行っても同じような洋服や靴のお店があって、でもお店の建物はかわいかった。YORKにはChurchが本当にいっぱいあった、歩いて５分ぐらいの間隔で。今日は一日中太陽が出ていて、イギリスのこの季節では本当に珍しいことだった。私は列車に乗る前に、お昼を食べたGardenの芝生の上に座って、しばらくの間、何も考えずにただ風に吹かれて、暖かい日差しの中でぼーっとした時間を過ごした。帰りの列車は無事に途中で長停車することもなくマンチェスターに戻ってきた。今日は朝の思いつきでYORKに行ったから、友達も誘わずに一人で行ったけど、たまには一人で旅行するのもいいかもって思った。今日は本当に時間もなにもかも気にせずにただ行きたい所に行って、立ち止まって写真を撮って... よーく考えてみたら一人で旅行するのは初めてだったかもしれない。一人で誰かを訪ねて、どこかへ行ったことはいっぱいあったけど、こうやって思いつきの一日旅を実行したのは初めて！なんだかいい気分になれたなぁぁ 4月6日 Concert usher今日は学校で初仕事！ うちの大学では学校内でできるバイトがいくつかある。大学のレストラン、バー、それからコンサートの案内係り... 私は去年の初めからやりたくて、でも何回かマネージャのオフィスに行ったけど、いつも電話するねって言われて、そのまま待たされて... 一昨日８回目ぐらいでやっとコンサートの案内係りの仕事につくことができた。バイトを探すのにこんなに苦労したのは初めてだった！！この仕事の内容はかなり単純で、基本的に全身真っ黒なスマートな格好をして、 コンサートホールの入り口でチケットをチェックするという仕事だ。 うちの大学では毎日のようにコンサートやいろんなショーが行われていて、学校内でコンサートホール、オペラ・シアター、スタジオ・シアター、LRRという室内楽のためのホールみたいな場所とそれからレクチャー・シアターがあって、様々なパフォーマンスを楽しめる施設がいっぱいある。パフォーマンスの種類もたくさんあって、交響楽、室内楽、オペラ、バレエ、ミュージカル、ソロリサイタルetc. コンクールやBBC のレコーディングなんかもあったりする。なので、案内係りの人たちは毎回マネージャに言われた通りの場所にいって、観客が全員入るまでドアの前でプログラムを配ったり、席の案内をしたり... でもいったんドアが閉まって、コンサートが始まったら、座ってもいいことになっていて、演奏の途中に人が勝手に入らないことだけ気にしていれば、あとは別にちょっと他の子と話したりもできるし、本を読んでもかまわない。日本のマックやコンビ二でバイトしてた私にとっては、本当に楽な仕事だ！しかも得することもある。というのは、コンサートをただできける事だ。前半と後半で交代してなかに入るときもあれば、中に入りたくない人がいるときなんかはずっときける。これは私たち音楽を勉強してる学生にとっては絶好なチャンスだ！うちの大学内のコンサートは去年まで私たち生徒はただできけたけど、今年からは２ポンド(約４００円)を払うことになって。日本の基準からしてみれば、それもかなり安いけど。 でもお給料をもらってると同時にコンサートがきけるというこれより私にとって理想なバイトはないはずだ。 だからどうしてもこの仕事がしたくて、今日でやっとできた！！ お給料も私が日本でコンビ二の早朝バイト６時からのよりも高くて、こんなに楽してていいのかなあってちょっと思ったぐらいだった。学校内の他の仕事はなんとなく私にむいてないと思った。 例えばバーでバイトするのは、私みたいなお酒のことなんてさっぱりわからないような人は最初お酒の種類を覚えるだけでも時間がかかりそうだし、酔っ払いの相手をするのもなんか嫌だし(笑)レストランでバイトすれば、学校での食事がただになるという特典がついてくるけど、昼間とかは練習や授業でとてもじゃないけど、無理だと思ったから。というわけで私は今日からConcert Usher としてがんばりまーす!!  3月2日 Chopin PrizeI participated the Chopin Prize which is a internal competition in RNCM. I was so nervous today before the competition. It was only 10 mins for the preliminary round. When I walked into the LRR, there were 3 panels ,the head of keyboard, the assistant and somebody else from outside the college. The head of keyboard asked me:" What would you like to play first?" I said:" I don't mind", they laughed. Then I decided to play my Nocturne Op27-2 first. The stool was very low, but I couldn't change it. My hands were shaking but I tried to concentrate as much as I can. The first entry of the LH was good, but the RH was a bit uncontroled at the very beginning, I missed 2 base notes I think... But it was musical and better than my recital. Then they asked me to play the Ballade Op 47. The opening was good, but I was more nervous than the first piece, and I forgot the really important chord in A flat major. Then the "ff" of the second theme was awful. I played a wrong base note then it went wrong during about 2 bars, I barely back to the right chord, and they stopped me after the lyrical part. I couldn't believe I made that unforgivable mistake. I was a little depressed after it. I talked to my teacher after the competition, he told me that the head of SKS said that my play was much better than the recital. But still the memory slip... I didn't get through to the final.It was a good experience for me nevertheless!!! I watched a musical" Mack and Mabel "in the Palace Theatre which was great! The actors could do everything, playing the instruments, singing, dancing and acting...It was just amazing!!!!!I checked my college E-mail when I came back, I got a E-mail from the head of keyboard, I was chosen to perform in the master class next Tuesday which is taken by the famous Polish pianist Pawel Skrzypek.He is the panel for the final Chopin Prize as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This will be the first major master class for me in RNCM, I'm so glad that I've done the Chopin Prize even I did't get through.I have to discuss with my teacher about the piece. I will do my best  2月27日 My RecitalI had a piano recital in LRR today. I was so nervous before it.Because I haven't had enough time to prepare for it after my technical exam. I've been practicing so hard from last week.I played my program through to my friends yesterday, and had piano lesson this morning just before the recital. My teacher and friends came to listen, the judge was the head of keyboard today. My program was Chopin Etude Op10-12 Revolutionary, Nocturne Op27-2, Waltz in e minor and Ballade Op.47. The first 3 pieces went well, but I was a bit tired physically and mentally in the last piece. I had a little memory slip(fortunately I didn't stop), and the endding of the Ballade wasn't very secure. It was a good opportunity for me to play the Chopin program through before the competition though. I hope I can play better on Thursday. 2月17日 Technical examI had my technical exam this morning! Undergraduate 1st and 2nd year students have to play 2 Etudes for this exam in our college every year. 3rd year students have to play piano concertos for more than 30 mins. I accompanied a 3rd year student this Tuesday.Because I played the same Beethoven piano concerto No.3 last term,so she asked me to play the second piano. It was in the concert hall so I was quite nevous even I was just a accompanist. I played Debussy Etude No.11 pour les Arpeges composes and Chopin Etude Op10-12 'Revolutionary'革命. It went quite well so I was happy with it. I wasn't that nervous and could concentrate. I've done these 2 Etudes for more than 6 months, it was well prepared I think.
I'm going to relax today!!!I've got Chopin's pieces for my recital and the Chopin Prize though... 2月11日 Day offI took a day off, so I haven't done any practice today.I normally practice 5~6 hours every day, becasue I have so many pieces to learn this term. I have 2 Etudes for technical exam which is next Friday, and 4 Chopin's pieces for a Chopin Prize in our college in March and then Beethoven sonata, Bach Partita,my chamber music and so on...I'm a bit tired...
 So I decided to go shopping with my friend Cathia today. I bought a pair of shoes for the piano technical exam. The reason is that I can't use the piano pedals with high heels
 Everytime when I 'm nervous, I feel so unstable if I wear high heels...so I bought a pair of black shoes without heels. then Cathia and me bought some food in TESCO and we had tea together. I enjoyed listening a concert in our RNCM concert hall today. The program was Sibelius Violin concerto in D minor and Bartok Concerto for orchestra. I enjoyed the Bartok very much unexpectedly.Because my impression of Bartok was the use of weird harmonies and unusual time signatures. But the concerto for orchestra was a really nice piece actually!!I'm sure I've heard the last movement before, but I don't remember when or where I heard it. After the concert,all of my friends and me stayed in the refectory and we talked a lot...I really have to practice tomorrow  2月4日 Memory of Geisha昨日、SAYURI を映画館で見ました。英語のタイトルはMemory of Geishaで、ほとんどのせりふが英語でした。日本語はごめんください、乾杯とか人の名前ぐらいでした。なんだか、見てて不思議な気分になりました。なぜかというと、役者さんは中国人と日本人で、原作はアメリカ人で、しかも日本のお話なのに、みんな英語で会話してる。。。みたいな！でもいろんな意味で面白かったかもしれない！その帰り、すごく渋滞していて、でもなぜか映画館の駐車場から車で出てくるときに、みんなが結構やさしく譲ってくれた。一緒に見に行った一人のドイツ人の女の子が、ジョークで「みんなSAYURIを見たから、アジア人のキレイな女の子にやさしくしてくれてるんじゃないの？」（運転していた友達も中国人だったから）って言った言葉がなんとなく面白かった。でも確かにSAYURIの主演、中国の女優Zhang Zi Yiはイギリスの男の子たちの間で大人気！映画を見に来た人の中でも、男性の方が多かったような。。。でもずっと見たかったので、昨日やっと時間が出来て、見れてよかったでーす  1月30日 Chinese new year新年好！！！今日のお昼は太湖というレストランで食べて、そのあと中華街でみんなでぶらぶらして、夜はお友達の家でみんなが作ったおいしい料理を食べて。。。今日はピアノを一分も弾かずに過ごした。。。明日レッスンなのに！でもたまにはいいかな！？  1月29日 Chinese new year今日は中国のお正月！友達とパーティで祝った  今年もみんなにとって素敵な年となりますように！！今日はSchumannのピアノ曲についてのessayを夜遅くまで書きました。。。 |
We arrived at Sheffield before 10:00 am. The city was quite similar to Manchester. We walked around the city centre and visited some galleries. I took many pictures even the weather wasn't nice today. We had lunch in the SUBWAY. We came back to Manchester at about 5:00 pm. We were lucky because the rain was very heavy after I came back...We are planning a trip to Scotland with the other friends in this summer term. I can't wait!!!|
